Terra Sancta Principles

A New Standard for Regenerative Certification

Built by Farmers. Grounded in Integrity. Committed to the Earth.

Terra Sancta Certified™ isn’t just a label—it’s a movement. We exist to serve small farms, protect sacred soil, and make measurable ecological impact without burdening those doing the real work of regeneration. Our principles reject bureaucracy, favor transparency, and honor the relationship between humans and the land.

Built for Farmers, Not Corporations

Small Farm Pricing

Too many certifications are priced and structured to exclude the very stewards we need most. Terra Sancta was built to change that. Review Price Structure.

Zero Hidden Fees

No surprise charges for logo usage, audits, or updates. What you see is what you pay.

Paper-Light, Digital-First
Our process is streamlined and handled online. For farms without digital access, we provide support to ensure no one is left behind.

Values-Based, Not Paper-Based

We measure what matters

Instead of endless forms, we ask for stories, community reflections, and visual documentation.

Story-Based Assessment

Every farm tells its story, how it nurtures soil, people, and planet. Written reflections or videos are welcomed.

Peer Testimonials

Farmers can include letters or videos from local community members to validate and honor their work.

Photo Documentation

Simple photos of compost systems, livestock, and biodiversity initiatives serve as honest proof of progress.

Human Review, Not Gatekeeping

Terra Sancta certification is a dialogue, not a checklist.

Real Conversations
Every farm is paired with a trained reviewer (who is also a farmer) for a meaningful, supportive conversation.

Empathetic Evaluation
Our reviewers understand weather, setbacks, and the slow nature of soil. They look for honesty, effort, and alignment—not perfection.

Flexible, But Firm

We meet farms where they are while upholding

uncompromising values.

Aspirational Standards
All criteria are framed as “shoulds,” not “musts,” because transformation takes time. But we expect honest effort and growth.

Support, Not Punishment
If a farm falls short, we provide 3–6 month improvement plans and expert guidance. Certification is only revoked when damaging practices persist.

Transparent & Simple Compliance

We believe integrity should be accessible, not overwhelming.

Annual Self-Reflection
Every certified farm answers two simple questions each year:

What did you do to improve soil, biodiversity, or labor conditions?

What challenges did you face, and how are you addressing them?

Supportive, Randomized Audits
Audits are framed as check-ins, not inspections. We focus our energy on helping farms whose soil results may not yet reflect progress.

Quantifiable Impact

We are the only certification that makes improving the earth a requirement.

Annual Soil Tests Required
Every farm submits one annual soil test—costing between $75–$150. This ensures we’re not just talking about regeneration—we’re measuring it.

Public, Anonymized Data
All results are aggregated and published annually to show the collective ecological benefit of

Terra Sancta farms.

Expert Help When Needed
If results aren’t trending positive, farms receive personalized support and a 12-month window to implement improvements.

Created with love and full transparency by a small farmer, for small farmers.

As the founder of Sacred Plant Co, I created Terra Sancta to bring 100% transparency to a space that too often hides behind red tape and corporate influence. I wanted a certification that small farms could trust—because I needed it myself. Every part of this system is designed to be honest, accessible, and rooted in real ecological impact.
